Minor Wounds (Cuts and Grazes)

Care for common minor injuries like simple cuts, burns and more.

About Minor Wounds

A minor wounds, such as a graze or cut, happen when the skin is broken and may be caused by many different things such as falls, accidents or something sharp. These wounds may cause redness, bleeding, and discomfort, and can become infected if not properly cleaned and cared for.

Timely treatment helps reduce the risk of infection and supports better healing. Most cuts and grazes are straightforward and will usually require either bandaging, wound coverings, skin glue or steri-strips, or symptom relief. However, some may need referral if the wound is deep or in a difficult location. For any suspected broken bones, enrolled patients should use our Wigram clinic, and casual patients should attend an urgent care provider.
