About Cervical Screening

Cervical screening is recommended for people with a cervix aged 25 to 69, and plays a vital role in detecting the early signs of cervical cancer.
Most people will be eligible for an HPV self-swab, which is a simple, private way to collect a sample that checks for high-risk strains of the virus. In some cases, a full smear test with a speculum exam may be needed or preferred.
